God desires the best for us. He is concerned about how we are
living, even down to the minute details! Matthew 10:30 tells
us that the very hairs on our heads are numbered—that’s how
valuable we are to God.
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill,
and to destroy: I am come that they might have
life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Jesus came to make the abundant life available to us, but we do
have a role to play. We have to fight the good fight of faith. Why
is it a fight? Because we have a jealous adversary.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now
the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and
the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12 KJV)
As citizens in God’s kingdom, we fight for righteousness,
peace, and joy. What are we taking by force? Life—we choose
the abundant life!
Let’s look at an example from the Word of God, when those
in need of healing ditched the “victim, poor me, why me?”
mentality and decided to do something. In the book of 2 Kings
7, we find the story of the four lepers.
