"I stood up and knew something was wrong! My right arm felt strange and was dangling at an unusual angle. It didn’t hurt. I noticed a large bulge on my right chest. I had dislocated my right shoulder. I grabbed my arm and jerked it forward. Fortunately, it popped back into the socket. Then I noticed the pain. Ron made a makeshift sling for my arm and I took few aspirins. I don’t know how that simple touch dislocated my shoulder, but it did, and that injury changed my life."

Dr. Dwelle is a pediatric infectious disease specialist who has served in leadership positions for several organizations including the Indian Health Service, University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Nyankunde Medical Center, Assemblies of God, Medical Ambassadors International, State Health Officer for North Dakota, and Public Health Consultant for the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.
