“Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places”. Habakkuk 3:17-19
Habakkuk’s day is not going so well. His fig tree doesn’t bloom, there’s no fruit, cattle are few, a, bad day, week, month, and year, or is it.? Amazing there is NO COMPLAINING or worry just a calm trust. Troubled and hurting hearts can praise Jesus! When hope can’t be found, He is our Hope. We may lose our jobs, struggle with our health, fight addictions, fear loneliness, battle depression, struggle with unforgiveness, face defeat and experience failures; and I pray victory be won over each of these in your life. I am sure we all agree we are desperate for help and answers. Oh, may we see our greatest need is we are desperate for Jesus. Jesus, the name above all Names.
My best friend Debbie, who is now with Jesus. How I miss her, and she was the one who always encouraged me to live for Jesus, as a young girl. Debbie faced her own life trials and yet she never faced them alone. Debbie was by my side through the many tears and heartaches and together we learned to trust in God’s plan for our lives. Did this mean we always made right decisions, certainly not, yet it did mean we had Jesus in our hearts and wanted Him to be Lord. Jesus made us best friends, not for a season but for eternity. Debbie and I loved to sing about Jesus, and we loved doing everything together. Debbie and I would walk each other halfway home from our visits, we would barely get home, then call to talk. Best Friends, yes Indeed! As close as we were, nothing can compare to having a friend like Jesus. Oh, what a friend we have in Jesus., all our sins and griefs to bear.
You see I did nothing to deserve my salvation. His love for me was so amazing, so divine that it demanded my life, my soul, my all. Oh, how I am desperate to know. Him more and more each day and to walk in victory. The stories in my book are real, in many I felt desperate, alone, even paralyzed with fear, doubt, worry, lack of understanding. I did not ask for the many trials I’ have had to face, but one thing is certain; Jesus has never failed me, Come What May! When you belong to Jesus and your life is found “IN HIM” you can have an undisputable trust, and His irrevocable assurance, He will never let you go. I pray for everyone who reads my stories and looks at my life, that you will see God’s Sovereign Hand over my life. Oh, I pray for you dear friend whatever your need that you know the Grace and Love of Jesus, and because of Him you too can face your, “Come What May.” And know firsthand His Love Never Fails., To God Be The Glory!
