A Woman a Husband Can Trust

I’m going to say something that goes against the grain of what most people believe about trust. Trust is given before it’s earned. If not, then trust is conditional. If your first kneejerk reaction is disbelief, you may have a trust issue with your spouse. Trust is believing in someone and having confidence in that person’s character. Without trust, there can never be a bond of oneness between a man and woman. The one thing soulmates have is trust. Without it, marriage will be hard at best.
Betty Ann had absolute trust in me and I in her. Let me give you an example. During the height of the COVID season, we both had to personally deal with it. I was concerned about her because her immune system had been terribly compromised by 109 chemo treatments and twenty radiation treatments. I decided to take some ivermectin (then touted as a Covid-19 cure) for myself and asked if she wanted some too. She had no idea that you draw ivermectin from a vile with a syringe.
Being full of tomfoolery, I thought I would play doctor and mess with her. After drawing some out, I went to where she was sitting and asked her if she wanted the injection in her hip or arm.
She looked at me with a concerned stare and said, “I don’t want it in my hip.” Leaning toward me with her shoulder lifted, she said, “Just put it into my arm.”
That brought tears to my eyes. I lost it emotionally. That’s how much my Proverbs Thirty-Two woman loved and believed in me. That kind of trust made me want to live up to her expectations. She had confidence that I would not do anything to intentionally hurt her. She had unequivocal confidence in me and that I always had her best interest at heart. Being vulnerable to your marriage partner is not comfortable, but it is the only way to ensure a healthy marriage union.
