Introduction This is a compilation of prayers and teachings on prayer, including personal prayer stories about powerful answers to prayer that is through God, by God, and for God. This book is intended to be used in a professional, preaching way, through personal study, to bring forth powerful testimonials. Never forget what the church is. It is not buildings. It is the people of God building relationships with people who do not know God, to help them know and love God in Jesus. “The Lord is my strength and my help, so of whom shall I be afraid?” The underlying verse for this book is “The effectual fervent Prayer of a righteous man, (or woman) avails much.” It seems to me that God is waiting on us to do something. I think I know what it is—pray. He wants us to be ready for His plans. So let us get ready by preparing ourselves and our churches, and then help others to trust Him. The underlying truth is that “the Church Grows when the people of the Church cry out to God for their Soul and others souls. Thus the Soul of all Churches and the lost people of the world can and will be saved.” The End Is Near Since I was very young I have heard many preachers say and preach these very words: “The end is near.” My memory goes back to the 1940s. Since I was a young preacher, I have believed only God knows that answer. Why? He knows all. He is God. He is in control. He is our only Hope. He only can save us. He says, “Trust and obey me.” There are serious problems in this world, and we must, as citizens of this, God’s world, start to stand up, push up, pray up, trust up, and train up. He tells us He has our backs, so let us trust Him. God is waiting to hear from us. If we do not ask, why would He need to answer? “Ask and it shall be given to us. Seek and we will find.” He wants to hear from us just like, in marriage, our spouses want to hear from us. “Let our requests by by be made known to God.”

About the Author
The Rev. Dr. Gary W. Exman, a graduate of West High School in Columbus, Ohio, earned numerous degrees, including earning an AB at Taylor University, a Master in Evangelism at Scarritt College and a Dr. of Ministry in church growth from Fuller Seminary and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Seminary. He has spent more than forty years in pastoral ministry, holding evangelism, church growth seminars and revival services in over 19 states. Finally his ministry included serving on the Board of the United Methodist Church as the President of their Counsel on Evangelism. He served for 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a radio operator with top-secret clearance and as a chaplain with the Ohio National Army Guard. He is the author of two previous books: Get Ready, Get Set, Grow and Beyond the Number Game. The two books are still being used extensively for ministry around the world.
