HIS HAND IS BIGGER

As I walked into the building I almost began to tremble. But then I simply started repeating those words. "I trust you. I trust you." I began feeling calm again as I walked to the glass elevator. I boarded it, pressed the button for the seventh floor and turned to stare at the doors. As the flights ticked away I repeated, "I trust you. I trust you." Then the doors opened and I exited. I walked to the doors of the ICU and pressed the video doorbell and waited. "It doesn't matter what I see when I walk into that room," I thought. "The Lord is with me and through Him I will get through this. We will get through this." The double doors opened and I walked through them without hesitation. "I trust you," I repeated, "I trust you." Then I rounded the nurse's station and froze. There standing right in front of my wife's room was a team of doctors, nurses, and men in suits. Most with open computers sitting on top of little rolling carts, some with pads taking notes, all staring into my wife's room. A flurry of thoughts ran through my mind. I didn't know what this meant, but I figured it was either very good or very bad.
