The last sea turtle to climb out of the nest
had to immediately commence her quest
to sprint across sand into sea foam's spray
before a frigatebird could snatch her and fly away.
She progressed until waves were a few feet away,
when a large shadow blocked the light of day.
She felt a large beak enclose her right fin.
Somehow, she jarred loose, landing on the wet sand.
The waves covered her up and swept her from land.
Now safe in the sea, she was in her new home.
She flapped her fins and began to roam
