Changing World from Love’s Persistent Call

The world was changing in ways that she could not fathom. Soon there would be a new government. It surprised many people when they unapologetically set up a national monument where people knelt, prayed, and seemed to worship. This monument glorified what was previously considered sinful behavior. A couple of years ago this type of thing would never have been allowed. She thought of Isa. 5:20,

“‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put
darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for
sweet and sweet for bitter’” (ESV).

Was this happening to society? Was up down, good bad, right wrong? If so, she thought, “Why isn't anybody challenging this? Aren't our leaders supposed to help and protect us? What happened to traditional values? How far we have fallen!” “
