For those of us who choose to unpack all that has held us bound: HOORAY FOR US! This will be the most beneficial and rewarding work you will ever do. It is hard, wearisome work. Even when feeling overwhelmed, afraid, lost, and forgotten by many; when we would like nothing more than to curl up and be done; this is when God's strength is working through us in powerful ways. For me, it
was truly a fight for MY LIFE! (Psalm 105:4 Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His presence continually!) The harder we try in
our strength, the more feeble and fearful it all becomes. This freedom
God wants; learning to release to HIM, the darkness and injustice of
this cruel world; not allowing it to squelch the light inside us... This is HUGE! For a sensitive soul to see and even feel a bit of the
perversion in this fallen world is overwhelming. For me and
my 'somatic ways', feeling evil, of but a snippet of a little girls life,
when presented with it first-hand rocked me to my very core. With a discovery of this magnitude, I believe God gave me an insight into how evil this world can truly be. BUT THE GOOD NEWS, 'THE GOSPEL' is just that. As bad as it looks or 'FEELS' when presented with the weight of evil, GOD WINS. GOD'S LOVE WINS EVERY TIME! And that IS THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL! But to be free from the darkness that threatened to drown me from the inside out is a POWER GOD WANTS FOR, not just me, but ALL OF US. Recovery is a choice -- a HARD CHOICE, but a choice nonetheless. God wants us to live in HIS GLORIOUS LIGHT! God is fighting for us and with us, ALWAYS!
