Radical Adventures with Jesus

A beautiful Thai lady in a long summer dress rushes home, excitement flowing through her veins because of the prophetic word she has just received. She keeps replaying it in her mind. The anticipation grows each time. “When you get home today, as you walk through the door of your house, the tumor will fall out of your body onto the floor!” And behold, as she crosses the threshold of her home, the tumor starts to move! She feels it travel down on the inside. At first she screams with horror and fright, but soon her cries turn to shouts of joy and amazement. She is overcome! Her whole body shakes as the alien growth is loosed from within by the hand of God. She looks down, and in the midst of the mess on the floor is the tumor. The thing that has been plaguing her for years is now reduced to a lifeless blob at her feet. Glory to God! Without missing a beat, she runs to the kitchen and grabs an empty jar. Hands shaking, heart racing, she picks up the tumor and drops it in the jar with a shout of victory! She runs out to her car, frantically drives to her doctor’s office, and barges right in. He is completely startled. She pulls out the jar, slams it on his desk, and boldly proclaims, “This is what Jesus does!” Childhood laughter fills the air as a little girl plays with her friends in delight. Running, giggling, chasing butterflies, she is living a life of glee and frivolity. But all of a sudden, there’s a drastic change. Her body twists and turns. She feels pain she’s never even imagined. Hideous animal hair starts to appear on her face. Her laughter turns to cries of horror as she looks in the mirror. In her reflection, she sees a wolf. She hides in the shadows in shame. When she walks to school, her former friends now throw stones at her and shout out nasty names. She is disgusted with herself and surrenders to a life of doom. She becomes a teenager, living in darkness. But one day, from inside her room, she hears about a healing crusade. Jesus is coming to town! She dares to hope. When the sun sets, she goes. She hears the message of hope and love. Tears stream down her face as she feels Holy Spirit tugging her heart. They call people forward. She wants to go, but in front of her are the ones who have thrown stones at her. She sees herself running up, only to get knocked down on her way. She’s gripped with fear and goes home in defeat. But she keeps thinking about the message, the stories of how Jesus heals and loves. She builds up her courage and goes back again. This time, she runs to the front and is overcome by feelings of warmth and peace. The preacher lays hands on her, and suddenly the wolf hair starts to fall away. She gasps, “Is this really happening? Am I becoming the little girl I was meant to be?” Dear friends, these are previews of real stories of our ministry with Jesus, a foretaste of the radical adventures we are about to go on. These are precious people whom He touched, healed, and set free, right before our very eyes! And the apostles went out announcing the good news everywhere, as the Lord Himself consistently worked with them, validating the message they preached with miracle-signs that accompanied them! —Mark 16:20 TPT Come, take my hand and walk with me. Let me show you the magnitude of what Jesus is doing in the world today. Let’s marvel with childlike wonder at His magnificent glory. See how intimacy with Him forged my life and ministry. Let me inspire you, that you too can have amazing adventures with Jesus and fulfill your destiny in Him! Feel the exhilaration of being overflowed by Holy Spirit power as we preach the gospel, heal the sick, and set the captives free all around the world! My prayer is that you will see yourself and those you love in these stories. That you will see with your eyes of faith a loved one getting healed of cancer, diabetes, or heart disease. That Jesus will meet you and touch you where you are. That you will discover who Jesus is to you. Envision yourself ministering to Jesus’ beloved creation, seeing Him touch others through your hands. Feel Him touch your heart with His grace and mercy. Let these stories build your faith and expectancy for the miracles that Jesus wants to do in your life and in the lives of those you love. Our journey will take us down the path of triumph, heartache, trials, and victories, always leading us into the loving arms of the Master, Jesus Christ.
