My Quest for Purity

“I thank Jesus our Lord, who has given me the strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him.” 1 Timothy 1:12 NLT I want to share with you the biggest revelations I had in my life while writing this book. The first revelation is that nothing in our walk with God is possible if we do not fear the Lord. Proverbs 9:10 (KJV) says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, which means that we can be intelligent, charismatic, have social status, rich, or poor, but we will never have even the smallest ounce of wisdom if we do not fear the Lord. True wisdom can only come from our fear of the Lord, which is the awareness of God’s presence in our everyday life, and through that awareness, we choose to serve Him. The second revelation I had was more personal. Before I finished the book, a wave of fear and awareness came over me that I would have to walk out every word that I have put into this book. I became aware of the fact that I no longer have the privilege to decide to give up, but I have to be integral to the words I have put into this book. I called on the Lord when I realized this and He told me that “as long as I fear Him, I’ll have nothing to fear.” So for anyone who believes that purity is a concept that they can’t seem to grasp, or it seems too far to obtain, believe me when I tell you, if you begin to walk in the fear of the Lord, He will guide you and you won’t have anything to fear. Purity is for you and you can begin to walk out a lifestyle of purity starting today.
