About the Author
I’m Jerry Jacob, a 51-year-old from Kerala, India, now living in Dubai. After completing my engineering education in Kerala, I moved to Bombay in 1995 to find work. With a career primarily in sales, I currently work with a health and fitness company at Dubai. Christ is central to my identity, and I’m passionate about theology and sharing wisdom to uplift others. Living in Dubai, a melting pot of cultures, enriches my personal and professional life, allowing me to build meaningful connections and discover my identity. I focus on shared values rather than differences, viewing my presence here as a testament to God’s guidance in serving His purpose. Sobha and I are blessed with two wonderful children, Joshua and Nethen, who provide strength and support as we navigate life together. We believe in valuing all individuals, recognizing that everyone is created in the image of God. The hand of God has been evident at every stage of my life as I sought His reality. “Seed for the Sower and Bread for the Eater” is my humble attempt to share the goodness we’ve received, inspired by Christ’s love. As a weak vessel, I hope to enlighten readers through my weaknesses, embodying the truth that ‘light flows out of darkness.’ While my writing skills are average, I believe the truth of Christ can satisfy every thirsty soul. This book addresses spiritual and existential questions simply for agnostics, believers, and truth-seekers. My passion for writing on spiritual themes began in school, focusing on profound truths from a common perspective. Since 2011, I’ve shared insights on my website, www.wordinneed.com, and through occasional audio podcasts. As a family, we love sharing the word of God, whether with church prayer groups, friends from school and college, or individuals from various nationalities. We strive to offer spiritual support to those in difficult times and are committed to teaching Sunday school. Love to witness Christ to people from different backgrounds and religions, and are passionate about praying for the sick and engaging with those who are depressed. A few years ago, I dedicated myself to learning Old Biblical Hebrew to deepen my understanding of the Biblical context. My commitment is to make challenging ideas accessible and engaging, bridging gaps for truth-seekers with insights that resonate in both heart and mind, guided by the Holy Spirit. My journey to fill the voids and darkness within my heart—shaped by personal struggles—is fueled by God, who continually helps us recognize the gaps in our lives.
