Every time I experience a ripple in a relationship or come face to face with some type of testing or terrible ordeal, I constantly remind myself that it is temporary and as I lean into God, he never fails me nor forsakes me even in the most difficult times of life. Deuteronomy 31:8 The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Life is full of unexpected blows, and it hurts profoundly when we get hit hard. We have all grappled with ourselves at one time or another, trying to wrap our minds around this love proclaimed and declared as it is stated, God is love (1John 4:16). It is a love that can be hard to understand when we live in a world filled with so much uncertainty and disillusionment, yet we need it to survive the pitfalls of this life. His love is our lifeline. His love gives us hope and purpose. We must become passionate about our purpose so we can better understand His love and embrace it. His love defines who we are.

About the Author
Though a Christian most of her life, born into a minister’s family, and a Christian College graduate, the author knows and completely understands that this life brings many disappointments, hardships, and adversity. We are all susceptible to life’s opposition, Christian or not. Her desire to share and affirm that God’s love transforms and defines us no matter where we are in life is her utmost intent. She has discovered throughout her own circumstances that God’s love defines us even when we feel unlovable and unacceptable. She hopes to bring inspiration and encouragement to all who seek their reinstatement of meaning in this life.
