- During the first two weeks of your campaign, your publicist will read your book and compose a personalized Marketing Map dedicated to your specific needs.
- Marketing Map:
- Publicity Path Recommendation: The Marketing Map will highlight the publicity path your expert publicist feels is right for you. There are three possible paths, which are outlined below.
- Campaign Strategy: Your publicist will highlight the tactics and strategies they will employ during your campaign, including: the media they will reach out to, the audience they will target, the toolkit they’ll use to achieve campaign goals, and other ongoing activities they will engage in.
- Author Outreach Suggestions: Although your publicist will be spearheading your campaign and working on your behalf, they’ll also highlight the tactics you can personally employ to gain attention for your book. These suggestions will be based on what you’re already doing versus what areas the expert sees are available for growth and development.
- Additional Recommendations: The publicist will also work with your WestBow Press marketing team to lay out further suggestions for other services that may be beneficial to you and your book marketing efforts.

- Your publicist will work to secure publicity opportunities that may include: online media outlets, blogs, podcasts, newspapers, magazines, or even radio or television broadcasts.
- Your publicist will craft a custom creative pitch for various media outlets and then pitch your books to professionals such as: reporters, reviewers, editors, bloggers, producers, and more.
- Your publicist will also craft a press release that they will distribute to at least 1,000 media outlets chosen based on your book and your personal goals.
- 6-week US and International Media Outreach Campaign
- Your publicist will work to secure publicity opportunities that may include: online media outlets, blogs, podcasts, newspapers, magazines, or even radio or television broadcasts.
- Your publicist will craft a custom creative pitch for various media outlets and then pitch your books to professionals such as: reporters, reviewers, editors, bloggers, producers, and more.
- Your publicist will also craft a press release that they will distribute to at least 1,000 media outlets chosen based on your book and your personal goals.
- In addition to targeting US-based outlets, your publicist will also target two to three English-speaking cities outside the United States.
- 8 weeks of either the Social Media Coach or the Social Media Strategist Campaign
- You will be paired with a social media publicist who will either work with you to develop your social media presence or manage your presence, depending upon your publicist’s recommendation.
- This social media publicist will work with you to develop a social media strategy and adjust that strategy as necessary based on performance. Their goal will be to help you build your online presence and leverage engagement, share your expertise, and work to earn review requests.
- Measurement of Results: Throughout your campaign, your publicist will report in on their progress and campaign efforts, working with you to make sure your campaign is as successful as possible. At the campaign’s end, you will receive a report summarizing the entire campaign.
