So, here I am, seven months later, with the prompting of the Holy Spirit, writing what the Lord wants me to share in order to encourage and evangelize, but also to help others (and myself!) be restored, knowing that this walk on Earth goes by really fast, and it is only a snap of one’s finger in comparison to eternity—and I want every reader of this book to share eternity with the Lord.
Throughout this book I will be presenting scriptures that I have been critical in my life, life-changing scriptures that have carried me through the storms of life. I will be sharing some of my life experiences, whether it is something that I learned in ministry, through family experiences, work, relationships, school, teaching, etc. You won’t get too much of my life story—I will save that for the “books to come” (in the name of Jesus!)
Everything that we need to know in life is in God’s instruction manual --the Bible-- so I strongly recommend that you read the Word of God daily. All scriptures are taken from the following versions of the Bible: King James Version (KJV), the Amplified Bible (AMP), and the New International Version (NIV). These scriptures (as well as the rest of the Word of God) will carry you throughout your journey with Jesus on this Earth, once you become born-again. I will be explaining that concept in Chapter 1. Once we have that conversion experience, then we journey in our “affair” with Him through life, from HERE TO ETERNITY (like the title of the movie from the 1950’s). And now, let’s begin what I call An Eternal Affair…

About the Book
An Eternal Affair: Scriptures and Encouragement to Carry You throughout Your Journey with Jesus is a practical, devotional-style book intended to introduce new believers in Christ to the faith, providing them with basic biblical principles that every Christian needs to know (and follow). It was also written for those who are already walking with Jesus to be encouraged throughout many storms of life and for them to come up higher in the things of the Lord as they serve the body of Christ, inside and outside of church. Author Helene Marie Cruz presents this in an autobiographical way, sharing her heart through life experiences and revelations that God has given her in order to evangelize and exhort Saints—old and new.
About the Author
Helene Marie Cruz has been prompted by the Holy Spirit to write this book; it had been prophesied back in early 2011 that she would take her experiences from different aspects of life—personal, work ministry, relationships, family, etc.—and share them with others through writing books, which is a gift that God has bestowed upon her.
Helene has been a born-again Christian since October of 1998, serving God in the body of Christ since 2002. She has much to share with those who are saved and those who still are in need of the Savior. This book is evangelistic, but it is also, through sharing personal stories and supporting them with Scriptures, an exhortation to all—saved and unsaved.
Helene resides in Queens, New York, and has a passion for working with young adults and young professionals, especially women and singles. It is her heart that this book and subsequent published works can lead thousands to Christ and allow those who are already involved in their “eternal affair” to grow stronger in their journey with Jesus.
