" And God said, "Let us make man in our image and likeness and make him ruler over all things created. And just as God had formed aged rocks and other dated physical material the Great Potter knelt and formed an adult man Adam from the dust and clay of the earth. For as the man Adam did not come from the babe so the physicals of the earth were created in their state in their time. And the length of days and times were not as known to the years of men, for thousands of years are as but one day in the sight of God. After that God had formed all that is the flesh of man he gave to the eye seeing, to the ear hearing, to the skin touch, to the nose smell and to the tongue taste. And thus he completed the body of man. He then began the work of creating and weaving the soul of man into the human body. And to the neo-physical soul he gave the seat of emotions, sensibilities, memory, will and intellect and charged the soul as the gatekeeper to the place of the inner spirit.

This book expresses an exciting spiritual perspective of the creation of the universe and the life of man in that universe. It is the story of man and God. It addresses the philosophical who, why, what, and where of man’s purpose and the scriptural view for the morality of men. It shows the actions of mankind through spiritual eyes and points to the stubborn and egotistical attitudes of mankind, beginning with his fall into sin. It emphasizes man’s spiritual relationship with God, God’s love for mankind throughout the ages, and the redemption of man from the curse of sin. It will draw you into a discussion of the signature sins of our times and challenge you to hear and understand the voice of God instead of just the rumblings of thunder.
If you are an unbeliever, you will be challenged to repent. If you are a nominal Christian, you will be challenged to seek the power of the Holy Spirit. It is in gaining a perspective of the eternal that we understand the moment we live in.
About the Author
Oscar Avant is a retired engineering manager and has served many years as a pastor at Immanuel’s Church, Silver Spring, Maryland. He serves at Tree of Life Church in Gaithersburg. He is an inventor who holds nine patents and an author of two prophetic poems that are included in this, his first book. He lives in Silver Spring with his wife, Diana. They have two married adult children: Bridgette and husband Richard, with their son Corbin and Michael, and wife Sandra.
