It is an exciting day at Test Facility One USA. They are having a lunchtime celebration, and the company plans to make a big announcement to all of its employees. There are free hot dogs, hamburgers, and refreshments for everyone in attendance. All of the employees are gathered around the stage waiting to hear the great news. The supervisor of Test Facility One is a man named Chris. Chris stands at center stage behind a podium and begins to speak.

Supervisor Chris says, “Thank you for coming to this Friday’s special lunch announcement meeting. Because what we do here at Test Facility One is centered on keeping people safe, our parent company, Test Facility Global, has come to the conclusion that having the ones we want to keep safe the most—the people in our personal lives—needs to be our number one motivation. It is my privilege to announce that Test Facility One USA will participate in an after-school program in conjunction with our local school district that will enable your kids to visit you at work on the day assigned to you. Let’s give a big round of applause to Mrs. Baker, the superintendent of our local school district, and her team for making this program available to us. The schools will bus your children directly here after school. You will be responsible for your kids while they are at work during your assigned day. We will have work-related workshops to make this a great learning experience for the students. Starting next week, if your employee number ends in zero or one, your assigned day to have your kids visit will be on Mondays; two or three, on Tuesdays; four or five, on Wednesdays; six or seven, on Thursdays; and eight or nine, on Fridays. This is a voluntary program but is strongly encouraged. Thank you.”
