Called to Ministry, Now What!

As the predestined and chosen children of God, each of us have also been given unique and specific gifts and talents to fulfil our destinies and complete our God given assignments. I have come to learn that gifts and talents are not limited to spiritual use only but are actually given to us by God for service back unto Him in all areas of life. I am a strong believer that “ministry is not limited to the pulpit, therefore each gift and talent should be applied by ministering in all settings including; business, corporate, academia, church, private and public sectors; as assignments from God to exemplify Him and provide the services as unto God with the ultimate goal that whatever we do brings glory to God.

The sole purpose for writing this book is to provide guidance to anyone who knows or senses that they have been called and chosen by the Lord, but lack direction on how to go about fulfilling their calling. This book has been written from a mentee’s, student perspective. Though tailored to ministry, information provided in this book can be applied to any area of life, having the Word of God and the Holy Spirit as key mentors.

When God calls or appoints, He also provides the necessary resources to accomplish the assignment. This book serves as a foundational guide to those called and how to develop what God has placed in them. this book is a foundational guide highlighting personal spiritual experiences and training of the Holy Spirit that may mirror what others may be going through; exposing the reader to understand their own experience in journey of preparation for ministry.

In this book the reader will learn possible growth experiences that may serve as signs that one is called, how natural gifts and talents are equally tied to one’s calling and are eventually utilized in the assignment or calling God has, the role of mentorship in preparation for ministry and the mentor-mentee relationship, the role of the Holy Spirit in training and preparing in ministry, the importance of seeking God and not the Gifts, enjoying seasons and fellowship Holy Spirit, and how to transition into your own ministry.

Ultimately, God brings the increase to the seed that has been sown in the form of a gift, talent or calling. 1Corinthians 3: 6-7. God also provides means of watering the seed to fullness. It is my prayer that this book will stir up the seed in you to germinate while the Holy Spirit waters your seed to the increase that which God desires. This book provides clarification and outlines necessary developmental processes needed to acquire maturity in ministry.

With weapons of righteousness in our right and left hands, let us fight the good fight of faith. Let’s us run the race with endurance, being confident that He who chose us has begun a new work in us and He will bring it to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.
