Mr. Pulaski was out of breath and could barely speak. He took a deep breath through his hands and opened his eyes slowly. This time, he took his time and looked from one side of the lake to the other and then a second time. There, at the edge, he saw something; he began walking slowly so he wouldn't trip and fall. Then his pace increased faster and faster as the light from his flashlight was beginning to dim. He began running and forgot the pain in his legs. Meanwhile, as Mr. Pulaski was approaching the area where I was laying, the woman that was sitting and talking with me smiled, "Everything is going to be all right now. Someone is coming to help you. It's time for me to go!" "I don't know who you are, but please don't leave!" She smiled as she stood up. "Please lie back down, Jimmie and wait. You're going to be safe now, I promise. Help will be her soon. Now I must go!" As Mr. Pulaski grew closer, I became clearer to him as I lay on the ground. I could hear him talking and calling me. Thank you Lord! Jimmie! Jimmie, can you hear me?" I tried to answer him, but I couldn't speak. I tried to answer him, but I couldn't speak. Mr. Pulaski knelt ext to me: he unzipped my coat, and then he placed his hand under my head and saw his glove covered with blood.

About the Author
Walt Deecki Sr., is retired from the U.S. Air Force and the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed working with youth groups for many years as a volunteer and as a professional. All his books are based on personal experiences and those that he has come in contact with. He hopes the reader will find enjoyment as well as a renewed faith as they get to know each of the characters. His goal is to spark a renewed faith in God by his readers. God has a purpose for everyone, his is to tell others about the never-ending love that God has for each and every one of us through his Son Jesus Christ.
