…..The two of them left the barn and began walking back to the house but Mister Barrow stopped as if he saw something, he stared out across the pasture. He saw a shadow, an image of an old man leaning over a hand plow in the field, struggling to guide it in a straight row as a single horse pulled with all its strength. He envisioned a storm with loud, ear-breaking thunder as a mighty bolt of lightning crashed and struck the image. He watched as the old man fell to the ground, and a small boy ran as fast as he could to reach the fallen figure. Then he watched as the young boy struggled desperately to help the old man to his feet. Unable to lift him, he knelt down and held him on his lap, crying and calling out to God as the image faded from sight.

About the Author
Retired U.S. Air Force & retired BSA District Executive. Worked with youth organizations and youth of all ages his entire adult life as a volunteer as well as a professional. He enjoyed helping youth most of all with career decisions and accomplishing goals. His greatest joy is serving God as he is lead. As a writer, he prays that his writings will inspire and help others who are struggling with their faith.
