Eight-year-old Leonard “Leo” Bunn had a great many good things going for him … parents who provided delicious food, clean clothes, and a warm blanket on his bed; … lots of colorful toys and balls; and all the latest gadgets for kids twice his age. You could say Leo “had it made.”
He even had his very own miniature recliner, which his Aunt Kate had bought him when he was 3 years old!
He was naturally smart! Undeniably handsome! And super funny, too! He was great at telling jokes.
However, there was one not-so-great, not-so-funny thing about Leo. He had not yet learned to be responsible.
Unfortunately, Leonardo Bunn was lazy.
He liked to lay around. He never completed real jobs (only fake video game levels), and he rarely cleaned up after himself.

About the Author
Karen Anderson Holcomb has a Master of Arts in Communication from Southwestern Seminary (Ft. Worth, TX), with undergraduate degrees in Theatre and Journalism. An experienced story-teller and curriculum writer, and former children’s minister, she has authored eight books. Karen and her husband Bron have two teenaged sons and live in Western North Carolina.
