Opened my arms; opened my heart
Still we drifted apart
Drifted with time
Distractions comes with time
Complacency comes with time
If you are not careful, you will drift away in time
Restless hearts
Broken hearts will drift in time
No reason to smile; will make you drift away in time
Wondering eyes
Wondering minds; will pull you apart in time
Lying here and your mind is over there
Staring into space; wondering if better is over there
So sad when hearts have drifted apart
Living separate lives, because you have allowed life to pull you apart
Distractions and complacency have caused you to drifted in time
Sleeping alone
Coming home to a different life
Drifted lives; sad lives

About the Book
The Love Journey is a compilation of poems which focuses on relationships, from the romance stage to the difficult times. Remembering the sweet courtship times, when all you saw was beauty and stars; nothing could pull you both apart. Life is a journey and such is a marriage and other relationships; there will be ups and down. This book highlights the good times; the bad times and offers some general advices. It takes a lot to stay in any relationship and keep the fire burning.
About the Author
Evon Small is a citizen of Canada and Jamaica, who presently resides with his family in Alberta Canada. This is Evon’s third book. Westbow press is the publisher for his two previous books; titled “Mission Possible Hope Restored” and “Living in a Changing World” which are available on all major online book stores like Amazon and Barnes & Nobles.
Evon cares a lot about people, which is the reason why he continues to write, to help others in all aspects of their life. His messages are deep and thought provoking. His poetic writing carries a Jamaican flavour in its expressions. His motto in life is “Try to live a balance life” This comprises the three F’s (family, friends and fun); but most important is putting God at the center.
