Children are blessings sent from above
Created by God, cherished and loved
Sent to bring laughter, joy, and good deeds
As parents we provide them with things that they need
Like kisses and hugs in every new day
And a listening ear for the things that they say
Some books to read and places to go
Like the park, zoo, or theatrical show
Children are blessings sent from above
Let's teach them the way
Let's do it in love
Because children grow up, and time passes fast
Let's fill their hearts now with a love that will last.

About the Book
Simply Children teaches our young ones how to sit down and listen, stand up and speak, show kindness, and appreciate the nature that surrounds them. From listening to a clown in Clowns are People Too, to learning to slow down in Busy Lizzy. Simply Children teaches us all the joy of being “Simply Children.”
About the Author
Margie Shade Nelson was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and began writing poetry as a child. She writes from life experiences, and has shared her poetry in various places. She has worked with children for over 15 years and manages an in home daycare. She has several poetry books entitled Poetic Blessings, Sharing a Gift, and the Highs and Lows of Life. Margie Shade Nelson is a wife, a mother of three adult children, and grandmother to a wonderful grandson, named Creaden to whom this book is dedicated.
