About the Book
Rev. Paris Pearson’s dreams were about to come true. After a 10 year delay in his 5 year life’s plan, he was about to move from his current ministerial position; to the fulfillment of his vocational dream as a Senior Pastor at a “down home” country church. He would soon discover that there would be a lot more to this dream job than he could have ever imagined. He would soon learn that the people he went to pastor may have been sanctified but they were not yet glorified.
This is the story of a young minister that with the help of a supportive family, a patient congregation and a gracious Lord; he would begin his journey into building a legacy of caring service.
About the Author
Bill Smith has served as a Senior Pastor for the past 35 years. His prior ministerial positions ranged from Youth Pastor, Sunday School Teacher and Associate Pastor; providing him with a full spectrum of the duties of someone called into Christian service. He draws from his many years of experience in order to provide a candid, realistic and always humorous view of the challenges that face all of those who answer the call into God’s service. It will be a most enjoyable journey; whether you stand in the pulpit or are seated in the pew.
Bill met his wife Paula at Lee University, and they have been married for 47 years. They have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. They currently live in the Atlanta, Georgia area; where Bill still pastors as an Ordained Minister, at the Atlanta Northside Church of God.
