Garrison the Garbage Truck

Garrison took a deep breath in
Asking for patience and not worry.
He blew the breath out slowly
No need to be in a hurry.

Another deep breath in,

Some changes will occur.

As the seasons and months go by,

We get closer to meeting him or her.

“Great job, Garrison!
Keep up those breaths for patience.
We have a nine-month journey
That eagerly awaits us.”

Everyone is happy
In month number one.
Baby names and little blankets
We are all having fun!

Little rattles
Bottles and a binky.
We have lots of diapers
Because baby will get stinky.

Mama doesn’t feel so good
During month number two.
She feels grumpy and sick.
Garrison doesn’t know what to do.

He and Daddy went Trick or Treating,

But Mama stayed at home.

It made Garrison feel sad

To leave Mama all alone.

Mama is happy and thankful

When she eats toast and jam.

But she feels yucky and sick

When Daddy makes bacon and ham.

Daddy says Mama is nauseous,
But what does that word mean?
Yay, Daddy grilled burgers!
Uh oh, Mama looks a lot more green.

Holiday cheer and baby names.
We find out if it’s a girl or boy!
Will she be a Faith or Gianna?
Maybe Jimmy, Jake or Troy?

We have a big balloon
Filled with pink or blue confetti.
On three, we pop it to see
If the baby is a Frankie or Betty!
