Read 1 Samuel 10
Verses 6-7: “At that time the Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophecy with them. You will be changed into a different person. After these signs take place, do what must be done, for God is you.”
Reflection:
By anointing Saul’s head with oil, a symbol of the Holy Spirit, God changed his inner personality, perspective, and character. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, we are anointed with the Holy Spirit of God. We are changed into different people. We have a new heart, and we are no longer spiritually dead. No matter where we go, the Lord is with his chosen ones, so there is no need to be afraid or try to hide from our God-appointed positions.
