The Squirrel and the Blue Jay: The day was warm and bright was the sun-I couldn’t wait to get out and join the fun-I loved the spring in all its new-birth -It made me feel healthy-down to earth-I sat quiet and still, to watch the creatures pass by- It wasn’t too long- I saw the Blue Jay fly- There was so much beauty in those outstretched wings-Such peace and contentment, springtime brings- Well in a split second, I lost that sweet calm- When with vicious intent, she did a dive-bomb- The sweet little squirrel ran fast, she was free -She found her sweet shelter in a nearby tree
