Poetry is the language of the heart. It has a way of expressing ones innermost feelings. Poetry is one of the greatest means of expression we have available to us. People write for different reasons, for some it's a way of expressing their deepest feelings, for others it's a way of releasing emotion, for others it's a gift they were born with. Poetry comes natural to them.
Poetry is a very powerful tool used to express thoughts and ideas. Many times the thoughts from the heart are designed to encourage others. Many times it's a means of making people think. Other times the poet simply wants to share something that touched his or her heart in some special way. Most of the poems in this book are meant to encourage. Some were written from personal experiences. They are a means of giving people hope where things people are going through seem hopeless. Through these poems the reader will find inspiration to continue his or her race in life.
Some of the poems in this book were given on special occasions. Some were given in times of loss. Many times poetry is used to sooth and comfort a grieving spirit. Poems have a way of giving hope where there seems to be no hope. Poetry sometimes reaches where other forms of expression cannot reach. I have entitled this book Rays Of Hope because we are living in a time where hope seems to be lost in the chaos of everything that is happening all around us. We are living in what the bible calls dark times, where darkness is covering the earth and gross darkness the people. Many times a poem can be the very thing that sparks a ray of hope in someone's heart.

Poetry is a powerful tool used to express thoughts and ideas.
About the Author
I have recently written a book called Stolen Identity and I feel I am qualified to write this book. I am a bible teacher and have knowledge of the materials I write. I enjoy writing in my spare time and I feel like I have something to share with the world.
This is a book of poetry, the poems are original poems written by me and I would like to put them in book form as a devotional. I live in Big Spring, Texas with my husband of forty years. We recently moved down from Branson Missouri where we have a vacation home. We like to spend time in our home in the Ozarks, it is quiet and peaceful It's a good place for writers or painters. I finished my first book while vacationing in Branson. I am a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Okllahoma. My husband and I both attended two years of ministry preparation. Since graduation in 1991 we have been preaching and teaching the word of God everywhere the doors are open. I have always liked writing. I feel like I can express myself best in my writings. I believe I have things to share with others. The poems I have written have come by inspiration. I don't hink I could sit down and think of something to write. I want to put them in book form because I believe thy will be a great inspiration for others.
